A Major Cause Of Rape in the Society.

When such unpleasant situations such as rape cases arise, I suggest we look at the root cause so as to reduce it’s occurrence.
It is not only the females that are sexually abused, their male counterpart are also victims of sexual assault and here too they are blamed. Sometimes they are assaulted by relations, neighbours and family friends when they are very young. When they try to expose these people,they are threatened and when they summon courage to expose them no matter what, they are ridiculed by both parents,relatives, teachers and friends. They may be told..” What did you say?”,Let no one hear this from you.” “Don’t you have any shame,you are a boy,stop acting all girly” sooo sad……and this leaves them devastated. Now who do we blame this on? Their parents and guardians of course….
These boys grow up not knowing that what they are doing is wrong or not even caring to know because they believe females always desire the same pleasures his assaulters got and if they resist in any way they do not have any point than to resort to force. After being repeatedly traumatized to a point they lost their conscience what else do you expect!
I know this should not be so but in many cases, these problems when overlooked escalate to a point where even the government can handle. In my opinion parents should make their male kids are not experiencing any form of sexual assualt by making sure they know whom they are with always, whom they feel uncomfortable with whether a female relative, family friend,teacher or neighbor,because this ignorance from the parents can be a major contributing factor to rape cases.
If in any case, your son reports any woman or girl that he does not feel comfortable with or its taking undue advantage of his body, please do not overlook the matter or reprimand him. He trusted that you will save him from the unpleasant condition so if you do not act or rather reprimand him, imagine what you just did…. You just lost his trust in you.
I strongly believe that in as much as the girl child should be closely looked after to prevent any assault, the boy child should be treated just as much. It’s very sad to know that most parents pay less attention to the boy child saying,”He can take care of himself”….. I believe that the implementation of these measure may save the future girl child.
